RAPID CITY, SD - The Lakota Nation Invitational (LNI) has enjoyed 45 years of wonderful athletics in the bright spirit of good will and camaraderie -  hallmark characteristics of the LNI phenomenon for almost four decades. And it will continue to actualize these same positive intentions, with particular focus on Native youth, for years to come. Without a doubt, an abundance of teams from across the U.S. gather in great excitement to present their friendly competitive best in Basketball, Volleyball, Cross-Country, Golf, Wrestling, Cheerleading, Hand Games, Business Plans, Poetry Slam, Powwow, Lakota Language Bowl, Art Show, Knowledge Bowl, Chess, E-Sports, and Archery - just to name a few, and LNI is already planning for more variety in athletic and recreation event categories for the future. Additionally, so many other activities dot the event every year with education, multiple workshops, and positive 'feel good' experiences that are memorable. December gathers tens of thousands in person or online to the foot of the scenic and sacred Black Hills in Rapid City, South Dakota just for LNI. The world gives thanks to LNI Founder and Director, Bryan Brewer,  and the LNI board for organizing an annual event capable of bringing together so many Native Americans and Non-Natives alike in peaceful, wonderful ways in WoLakota.
